The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) awards grants to states to provide low-income seniors with $20 coupons that can be exchanged for Michigan grown, fresh produce at approved farmers markets, roadside stands, and community supported agriculture programs.  Fresh, unprocessed Michigan grown fruits, vegetables, cut herbs and unprocessed honey can be purchased with SFMNP coupons each year.  Program Eligibility:

  1. Seniors age 60 and older
  2. Live in Alpena County
  3. 2017 Income Limits:  $22,311 (single household); $30,044 (2 persons)
